By accessing or using Roster Generator, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.
Roster Generator (“Roster Generator,” “RG,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is a web application intended to help youth sports coaches (i.e., “Coaches,” “Users,” or “you”) assign youth players (“Players”) to positions (i.e., create “rosters”) before each game. We refer to the web application, mobile-friendly versions of it, and related online and offline services collectively as the “Services.”
You must be at least 18 years old, or have a parent/guardian’s consent, to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login and for all activities under your account.
Roster Generator is designed to help youth sports coaches automate the creation of team rosters in a way that promotes youth learning, development, and engagement. Many youth sports leagues have their own “fair play” rules, which detail rules Coaches must follow when creating their rosters. Roster Generator’s “League Settings” page allows users to select options to comply with some of these league rules (example: “a player should not play the same position two innings in a row”). Furthermore, depending on the sport, Roster Generator will promote fair play and development, which may not be explicitly stated in all league rules (e.g., “a player should play approximately the same number of innings at each position over the course of the season”).
Roster Generator also recognizes that Coaches may want to make specific assignments of Players to certain positions during certain parts of a game. It allows this flexibility on the “Gameday Roster” page. Also, after Roster Generator generates a roster, Coaches have the option to make further changes before finalizing their roster.
In general, depending on the combination of league rules and Coaches’ preferences, it may not be possible to meet all of these requirements simultaneously. If certain constraints cannot be met, Roster Generator works by trying to meet them “as closely as possible.”
We offer a free 7-day trial for new users, with no payment information required. After the trial, continued access requires payment of a one-time fee for a "Season Pass."
Purchase of the Season Pass is a one-time fee, which grants the user account access and use of RG for a 6-month period, starting on the date of payment. Canadian customers will be charged applicable GST, PST, and/or HST as required by law. U.S. and other international customers are not charged Canadian taxes.
Payments are securely processed by Stripe. By providing payment information, you authorize Stripe to charge your chosen payment method a one-time fee for the 6-month access period.
If you coach a second team, you may purchase a second Season Pass for that team at a 50% discount. This allows you to use the same account login to create a second team, with its own league settings. In this case, your account access for both teams will end 6 months after the date of payment for the second team.
Durations of Free Trials and prices for Season Passes may change at any time. However, users who began a Free Trial or Season Pass will be granted the duration and advertised Season Pass fee that was in effect at the time of their initiation.
If you believe you have been charged in error, you must notify us at help@rostergenerator.com within 14 days of the charge. We will investigate and, if an error is confirmed, issue an appropriate credit or refund to your original payment method. Refunds will not be provided for partial access periods.
If a payment you made to us is later reversed, disputed, or charged back by your bank, card issuer, or payment provider, we may pause or cancel your access to the Services. Any fees or costs that result from the reversal (including those charged by our payment processor) will be your responsibility, and we may charge you those amounts.
We strive to keep Roster Generator available at all times but may occasionally need to interrupt service for maintenance, updates, or unforeseen technical issues. We are not liable for any unavailability, downtime, or resulting data loss. We may also modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, any part of the Services without prior notice, provided that such changes do not materially reduce the core functionality during your current billing period.
Roster Generator may integrate with third-party services, such as payment processors or analytics providers. Your use of those services may be subject to separate terms and privacy policies provided by those third parties. We are not responsible for the operation, security, or performance of third-party services.
We use web analytics tools to collect information about how our Services are used so we can improve performance and usability. By using the Services, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out in our Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics as described in the Privacy Policy.
We take reasonable measures to safeguard your data, but you are responsible for maintaining your own backups. We are not liable for any loss or corruption of data, except as required by applicable law.
With regard to any content you post through the Services, such as Player or Coach names, you warrant that you have received any legally required consents from relevant individuals, parents, and/or guardians to share that information. If we discover that a minor’s data was posted to the Services without any legally-required consent, we will plan to remove the minor's data from the Services.
We are not responsible for the activities of Coaches or Organizations, or how they choose to use the Services. This includes their administration of Teams and Players, or their collection and posting of Player Data. An Organization’s use of the Services does not constitute or imply our approval or endorsement of the Organization or their activities. Any questions and issues with a Coach or Organization’s team policies and practices in connection with the Services should be directed to them.
You are responsible for any costs associated with internet, communication, devices or other equipment you use in connection with the Services. Use of the Services may impact your cellular data usage or other data plan.
Coaches are responsible for checking that any rosters generated by RG are acceptable before finalizing them. Because certain league rules and Coaches’ own rostering decisions can be in conflict, RG makes no guarantees that final rosters always meet all league rules.

Roster Generator provides automated position assignments and roster suggestions for informational purposes only. Final decisions remain the sole responsibility of the coach, team, or league.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Roster Generator, its owner, affiliates, and their officers, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to any disputes, complaints, or dissatisfaction from players, parents, guardians, teams, or leagues regarding position assignments, game participation, or other roster outcomes.
All content, code, and branding of Roster Generator are owned by us and protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our materials without permission.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Roster Generator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including disappointment over player positions, loss of data, or loss of profits.
Your use of Roster Generator is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in British Columbia for any disputes.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use of the Services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, fail to make timely payments, or cause harm to the Services or other users.
